Skill Requirements:  Kindness: Recognizing that animals can often experience high levels of stress when introduced to new environments or unfamiliar situations is crucial. Groomers should be sensitive to this fact and handle all situations with kindness and compassion.

Scheduling Requirements: Schedule dependent on store needs.

Ambassador For Safety: To ensure the safety of both yourself and the pets, it’s essential to have a grasp of basic animal behavior and body language. Critical thinking under pressure, on a situational basis, is a must when working with living animals, which can be unpredictable at times.

Training: Our training program includes an extensive in-store period supervised by a manager, which you must successfully complete. Furthermore, mandatory attendance at advanced pet and pet product training courses, as well as occasional in-store training sessions, is expected. You will also receive on-the-job guidance from your managers.

Salary Range: Our Grooming Stylists receive competitive compensation, consisting of commission and hourly rates, with the higher of the two prevailing (pay grade may fluctuate depending on training and experience)..

Time Commitment: Work full- or part-time with varying hours. We may need you for some overtime when necessary. Schedules subject to change based on business needs.

Physical Requirements: This role entails a significant amount of physical activity, including but not limited to extended periods of standing, the safe lifting and handling of dogs/cats, bending, leaning, and crouching. The ability to regularly lift and carry approximately 60 pounds is required.

Duties include:

• Delivering Pet Evolution’s distinctive customer service to both pet owners and their furry companions.
• Engaging with customers and using open-ended questions to determine the optimal grooming approach for their pets, while demonstrating patience in the process.
• Striving to provide an exceptional level of service and grooming quality, with the ultimate goal of leaving all customers satisfied.
• Demonstrating keen attention to detail by carefully following specific customer instructions.
• Vigilantly monitoring pet behavior to prevent harm to both oneself and the animal.
• Providing clients with education about various packages and their associated benefits.
• Professional grooming to include:
  • Care and compassion for animals.
  • Checking for parasites and other skin conditions.
  • Bathing and clipping animals to conform to a variety of breed-specific styles.
• Detangling and removing matted fur.
• Drying the coat
• Trimming nails
• Cleaning the ears
• Grand expressions
• Brushing teeth
• Promoting add-on services and retail to maintain animal care until next visit.
• Time management.
• Staying updated on the latest developments in the pet industry and grooming standards.
• Efficiently maintaining customer records by accurately inputting customer information and specific grooming instructions.
• Responsively answering phone calls and effectively scheduling grooming appointments.
• Ensuring the cleanliness of both the facility and equipment.
• Cheerfully and efficiently executing additional tasks assigned by supervisors.
