Qualifications: Prior grooming or bathing experience is a plus, but not a must. What we need is someone who can always abide by our policies and procedures, complete their tasks with reliability, and bring a positive and helpful attitude to work every day. Skill Requirements: Kindness: Recognize that animals can often experience significant stress in new environments or unfamiliar situations. Bathers/Grooming assistants should have a deep understanding of this and approach all situations with kindness and compassion.
Ambassador For Safety Ensure your safety and the pet’s well-being by understanding animal behavior and body language. Think critically and respond to unpredictable situations to prevent any harm to yourself and the pets during grooming.
Training: Get hands-on training from experienced managers in our extensive in-store program. Plus, attend advanced pet and pet product-training courses and occasional in-store sessions to enhance your skills. Managers will also provide on-the-job instruction to ensure your success.
Salary Range: Bathers will receive a competitive hourly rate plus tips.

Time Commitment: Bathers may join us either on a full-time or part-time basis, with working hours adjusted accordingly. Overtime may be required as necessary. Please note that schedules are subject to change based on business requirements, as determined by management.
Physical Requirements: As a part of this position, you’ll engage in various physical activities such as standing for extended periods, safely handling dogs and cats, and performing tasks that involve bending, leaning, and crouching. Be prepared to regularly lift and carry up to 60 pounds.
Duties include:
- Pet Evolution’s distinctive approach to customer service for both pet owners and their beloved animals.
- Effectively communicating with customers, utilizing open-ended questions to determine the best way to care for their animals, and displaying patience throughout the interaction.
- Striving to deliver an exceptional level of service and grooming quality, ensuring that every customer departs with a satisfied smile.
- Exemplifying a focus on detail by meticulously following customer-specific instructions.
- Diligently observing pet behavior to proactively avoid potential harm to both the pet and oneself.
- Offering clients insights into different packages and the advantages they offer.
- Professional bathing to include:
- Care and compassion for animals
- Checking for parasites and other skin conditions
- Bathing and care of animals
- Prepping a dog for fellow teammate
- Detangling and removing matted fur
- Drying the coat
- Trimming nails
- Cleaning the ears
- Grand expressions
- Brushing teeth
- Servicing walk-in clients on à la carte services
- Encouraging add-on services and retail offerings to ensure comprehensive pet care until the next visit.
- Effective time management skills are crucial.
- Staying updated on the latest developments in the pet industry and grooming standards.
- Efficiently managing customer records by accurately inputting customer information and specific grooming instructions.
- Responsively answering phone calls and expertly scheduling grooming appointments.
- Ensuring the cleanliness of both the facility and equipment.
- Providing assistance to Groomers as necessary.
- Cheerfully and efficiently executing additional tasks assigned by supervisors.
