Qualifications: Minimum 1 year of grooming experience preferred. You must be willing and able to consistently follow company policies and procedures, reliably carry out assigned duties, and behave in a positive, upbeat, and helpful manner. Strong achievement drive, empathy, integrity, pride, and good social skills.
Skill Requirements:
Kindness: Understanding that animals can become highly stressed in new or unfamiliar settings is vital. Groomers should be mindful of this and respond to all situations with a compassionate and kind approach.
Scheduling Requirements: Schedule dependent on store needs
Ambassador For Safety: Being proficient in understanding basic animal behavior and body language is crucial for assessing the safety of grooming a pet. The ability to think critically in high-pressure situations is essential, as we deal with living animals that can be unpredictable at times.
Training: The training process involves a comprehensive in-store period led by a manager, which you must complete satisfactorily. Moreover, you are expected to attend mandatory advanced pet and pet product training courses, along with occasional in-store training sessions. Your managers will also offer on-the-job guidance to support your development.
Salary Range: Competitive compensation is offered to our Grooming Stylists, comprising both commission and hourly rates, with the higher of the two serving as the basis for pay (pay grade may vary according to training and experience).

Physical Requirements: The responsibilities of this role involve a considerable amount of physical activity, such as extended periods of standing, the safe lifting and handling of dogs/cats, as well as bending, leaning, and crouching. You should have the ability to lift and transport approximately 60 pounds on a regular basis.
Duties include:
- Ensuring a unique Pet Evolution experience in customer service for both pet owners and their cherished animals.
- Interacting with customers, employing open-ended questions to identify the most suitable grooming approach for their pets, and maintaining a patient and attentive attitude.
- Committing to excellence by consistently delivering exceptional service and grooming, aiming for the complete satisfaction of all customers.
- Exemplifying a focus on detail by meticulously following customer-specific instructions.
- Attentively overseeing pet behavior to ensure the safety and well-being of both the pet and oneself.
- Educating clients on the diverse package options available and the benefits associated with each.
- Professional grooming to include:
- Care and compassion for animals
- Checking for parasites and other skin conditions
- Bathing and clipping animals to conform to a variety of breed-specific styles
- Detangling and removing matted fur
- Drying the coat
- Trimming nails
- Cleaning the ears
- Grand expressions
- Brushing teeth
- Promoting add-on services and retail to maintain animal care until next visit
- Time management.

- Carefully maintaining customer records, ensuring accurate input of customer information and grooming instructions.
- Skillfully managing phone calls and expertly booking grooming appointments.
- Upholding cleanliness standards by consistently cleaning the facility and equipment.
