Training: You’ll start with a 30-hour in-store training period, working closely with a manager to ensure you’re fully equipped. But that’s only the beginning. We offer regular advanced pet and pet product-training courses that are a must-attend, along with occasional in-store training sessions. Salary Range: Previous work experience dictates the salary range for Wellness Associates.

Time Commitment: Wellness Associates can opt for either full-time or part-time positions, with working hours adjusted accordingly. Overtime may be required during peak demand periods. This role is classified as non-exempt. Peak business hours typically fall on evenings and weekends. Please be aware that while we may initially assign day shifts, we retain the flexibility to modify schedules based on business needs. Our business operates every day except for New Year’s Day, the 4th of July, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. All other days are considered regular workdays. Keep in mind that no time off is allowed during the two weeks preceding Christmas.
Physical Requirements: Within your role, you’ll be required to routinely lift and transport up to 50 pounds. This physical capability is crucial for maintaining store inventory and delivering exceptional carryout service to our valued customers.
Duties include:
- Warmly welcoming all customers entering Pet Evolution.
- Engaging customers to identify their needs and recommending products that cater to those needs.
- Managing the check-in and check-out process for grooming and walk-in services.
- Actively promoting and selling Good Life membership.
- Demonstrating adeptness in handling customer objections.
- Delivering top-notch customer service consistently.
- Efficiently managing your time to ensure tasks are completed effectively.
- Engaging customers, understanding their requirements, and suggesting products accordingly.
- Committing to continuous learning about pets, pet products, and services through training, reading, and on-the-job education.
- Staying updated on sales promotions, contests, and performance goals.
- Proficiently operating a computerized cash register, ensuring accurate and swift transactions, as well as precise daily sales reconciliation.
- Professionally answering phone calls and providing accurate information.
- Maintaining a clean environment by cleaning facilities and equipment.
- Organizing and restocking merchandise effectively.
- Assisting customers in transporting their purchased merchandise to their vehicles.
- Being vigilant about shrinkage and inventory management.
- Cheerfully and efficiently carrying out any other tasks assigned by supervisors.
